What an Awesome couple, when ever I see Jessie and Darcy they are smiling. Jessie and her sisters are total sweet hearts and also good wrestlers.( see photo below). Blaine's speech about his brother was Incredible. I photographed Darcy's brother Blaine wedding a few years ago.

We had a blast and got some really incredible images.

It has been a busy week with lots of portraits and wedding consultations next year is booking fast.

today I received and email from my sister in law Karen she saw an article on my 2 companies Kids photo and Perry Thompson photography it is on the Savvy Mom website. check it out I think it is awesome.

Also Next week I will be shooting Portraits in New York and Philadelphia. Any one that wants to book a session email me. I will be in the area shooting Friday saturday and Sunday the 19-21.

These guys were a total Blast, George and his Grooms men should be in a movie, they remind me of Entourage or the guys from the movie Swingers. We got a lot of cool photos of this wedding party the girls were super hot and Really fun. And of course you can see here Shirley's exotic beauty. The bonus was the Lamborghini for the shoot.

What can I say but wow what a fantastic wedding we shot over 4000 photos on this enent. Kelly is a totally fun person and Thu is both smart and drop dead gorgeous. I really noticed the tight Family bond and how proud Kelly and Thu's parents were it was an honour to witness such a precious thing as that.

Fun good looking , genuine and unpretentious describes this wedding. What a terrific couple and family that truly loves enjoy life. Lindsey is precious and you can tell Jim adores her ,these are two people that are gaga for each other. I was blessed enough to be able to share probably the only moments they had one on one during the day and I could feel the love the share.

What an Amazing couple Paul is super cool and Ann is stunning. I had a great time working with this whole group they have terrific families and great friends surrounding them. This was a small but highly stylish wedding with some of the nicest venues in Calgary we did the ceremony at Knox United and then the reception in the Penthouse at the Palliser hotel. I would have to say this is probably one of the best meals I have had at a wedding. The Chef and staff seem to raise the bar every year at the Palliser. Thank You ann and Paul for letting me photograph your wedding you are two very special people.

Sam and Iman engagment party

I was doing Video for Sam and Iman this week end along with my wife Teresa she is the lead videographer I was shooting second video. We I took along my Nikon D3 and shot a few images of this Totally Rad couple while Teresa was filming.

lemonade sales going well

We had a great week last week Monday and Tuesday we went on our first family camping trip Gered and Scarlet were so exited Teresa and I used to camp all of the time but this is the first time since we have had our 2 kids. We traveled to Field B.C. and on June 30 and by chance we were able to participate in the Canada day celebration in Field. Teresa and the kids were actually in the parade. with about a 100 other kids and parents. what a terrific community. we just hung out with our friends From the Truffle Pig and our kids played by the water.

when we got back the kids wanted to sell lemonade so Teresa set them up on Thursday and they were outside most of the day selling lemonade to passers by. The Aubin girls from next door were right in there also. I have a couple of new entrepreneurs in the family.

I love Summer.

Soul Mates thats what they are.

I have been photographing weddings for 22 years and after around 800 or so that I have photographed I am still in awe of the relationships of couples I am blessed to share such a special day with. After being with John and Laurie for the day and seeing the passion and the love for each other I reflect on how blessed I am to have my wife and kids.

I was sitting at the wedding and looked around the room to see numerous couples that I have photographed over the past few years and I consider them all freinds.

It is the people like John and Laurie ,Diana and Mark and Melanie and Kevin that make me appreciate what I do for a living.

a night at the Roxbury was a blast Molly was right in there with the characters.

Deb. put on a fabulous party. it was good to see Molly's cousins and Aunts and Uncles.

Molly is cherished by her freinds which is a reflection of her character she is fun loyal and Makes everyone feel important. she is an incredible 13 year old. it does not seem that long ago I was photographing her and she was a bubbly 6 year old now she is a teenager.

Wow if this wedding didn't bring tears your eyes there is something wrong....... Emily the bride was so full of emotion before the wedding it moved me to see the power of true love! This wedding was so romantic and classy. These 2 are definitely soul mates. It was such a pleasure to photograph their wedding. My favorite part was seeing the amount of detail put into this wedding and the reception at the Stuart Creek Golf Course in Canmore .........absolutely fairytale, take a look

Saturday June 7 Emerald Lake British Columbia. Amy and Scott's wedding was full on fun in paradise. These two are totally in love and Blast to be with. all of the guests made my Crew of Theresa and Angie feel like family. Amy was stunning Scott was beside himself with Joy.

James day and I arrived at the reception after our wedding was finished and shot with the couple outside around sunset it was a pleasure working with them.

The Wedding was June 7 At Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. What an amazing venue and incredible staff. We had planned an outdoor wedding I imagined it would be brilliant blue skies but we had snow and fog. As a photographer this is great we could have gone inside but Carrie and Wade thought this is totally coolthat it was snowing we did a ceremony outside any way. it was not freezing but we had huge flakes of snow floating down and it was very cosy and romantic.

Wade was beaming with joy and Carrie totally radiant. They both have such a great attitude and are really fun to hang out with. This wedding was a blast everyone in the wedding party were so Warm and freindly.

We went from shooting on a mountain top down to the valley floor on a golf course.

What a fun time we had Josie was totally radiant I remember just after I had shot Josie coming down the Isle with her dad glancing back at Gino he was beaming. Gino and Josie are to peas in a pod. The wedding party was a cool bunch, the whole vibe for the day was full on fun.

Jennifer and Curtis May 17 2008 at Venutis in Addison IL. Well we had a blast Jen and Curtis were so much fun the whole group was really nice and fun loving We started the with a rehearsal dinner at Tapas restaurant in Downtown Chicago. Everyone mingled and the Canadians got acquainted with the local Chicago side of the wedding party.

the wedding day was incredible We started photographing the Girls in the room. Jennifer was stunningly beautiful she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I remember standing at the reception watching the bride and her father dancing and then the groom and his mom not being able to focus my camera thru my tears it was moving and I am honoured to be a part of Jennifer and Curtis's wedding Thank you.

I was witness to a wonderful loving ceremony performed by Greg's Mother, it was very moving.

Greg and Elaine have a strong connection and I think we captured it in the photos. We had a stunning venue for the wedding at Swan-E-Set golf club we discovered some really romantic locations and mixed some fun with romance with the really upbeat mood of the wedding party we still had some very intimate moments with Greg and Elaine. Breakfast Show today

I had an Idea yesterday and it took me to the breakfast show on City TV today.

I was watching Lindsey Boulton on the breakfast show and decided it would be cool to donate a wedding package for her. I have never donated anything this big but I am exited Lindsey and her mom and Jim's mom Were very nice I am looking forward to working with such nice people.

Post Wedding Day photo Session

I wanted to post some photos from a couple of weddings that we photographed and had the opportunity to shoot on a day other than the wedding day. One wedding we had bad rain early in the day and the bride was worried about the dress getting dirty before the sunset ceremony. Then one wedding had a really tight schedule. the third wedding , well we just wanted to have some fun in the water. and man it was a total Blast for everyone involved and watching.

Well this is a new year and a new blog one that I like better than the old.

2008 started off with a trip to Tampa and I attended a photographers convention this was the first one in 15 years and it was well worth the trip I met some of the worlds best wedding photographers. the biggest thing I realized is that what we do at Perry Thompson photography is world class and I am proud to to what I do and am blessed to have great people to work with.
